MDaaS Global expands into Francophone West Africa, strengthening healthcare access with a new clinic in Douala, Cameroon

Founded in 2017, MDaaS Global has grown from a single diagnostic clinic in Ibadan, Nigeria, to a robust network of 16 company-owned clinics and 20 affiliate locations spread across Nigeria’s major cities and underserved communities. Through its flagship diagnostic brand, BeaconHealth, MDaaS Global has provided essential diagnostic services to over 375,000 patients, building trust and maintaining a net promoter score above 90. The company’s expanding footprint, bolstered by its network of over 1,500 clinical partners and 40+ HMO partnerships, has demonstrated that scalable, tech-enabled healthcare solutions can make a transformative impact.

MDaaS Global’s entry into Francophone Africa is a significant milestone as it opens pathways for further regional collaborations and paves the way for future expansions in other Francophone countries. “Our expansion into Douala is not just about geographic growth; it’s a vital step toward ensuring equitable healthcare access across borders. This milestone allows us to leverage our extensive experience from Nigeria to deliver quality diagnostic care that meets the specific needs of the Cameroonian population.” said Oluwasoga Oni, CEO and co-founder of MDaaS Global.

Suraj Kripalani, our Founder and CEO, hosted a workshop on business model design for IIMB NSRCEL's Circular Economy Incubation Program  ♻️ 

People are consuming nature's resources 1.7x faster than our ecosystems can regenerate them. On August 1, the world reached Earth Overshoot Day, the day when humanity will have used up nature's renewable "budget" of resources for 2024. It is realistic to expect that during the 2030s the circular economy will not only be the mainstream economy, but the only economy, as supply chains will not be allowed to produce waste by governments and customers.

It was inspiring to meet NSRCEL's cohort of startup founders innovating towards a circular economy in areas of sustainable agriculture, sustainable materials, plastic circularity and green tech. We enjoyed our discussion on how sustainability can provide a "green edge", offering more affordable or higher-quality sustainable solutions. For example, BonBillo alumni, Styched, is an affordable youth fashion brand with zero waste using a patented production on demand process. Styched passes on the cost benefits of their zero-waste model to customers, thereby making trendy youth fashion affordable at an average order value of Rs. 631 (approx. $7.5).
